Shiny, shiny...

o_< *twitch, twitch* Cosplay, along with convention planning, is not going well. Hotaru refused to take responsibility for failing her class and it has caused a ripple effect. Because of that her parents wouldn't let her come over so we couldn't fit her Minako Kirari Super Live costume to her. It's about 80% finished. We gave the rest to her and told her to finish it herself. Either way, participating in the masquerade doesn't look good. Which bums me out. >< AND she hasn't even started on Sakura. I understand she was unsure of her finances for a while, but... WTF?! I don't have the heart to finish Sasuke right now. Maybe I'll finish putting together the kimono, but I won't paint it. A lot of work for something that won't be displayed. The best thing that kept me from being royally pissed at Hotaru was the watching of InuYasha with Ami. Awww... InuYasha and Kagome are cute when they fight! ^_~

The roads are still bad here. Underneath the small layer of snow is a sheet of ice. It is supposed to harm up this weekend, but then it's going to rain/snow/ice/sleet/WTF else it wants to do. My car handles it great, but if it gets really bad - we won't be able to drive to Ohio. Here's hopin'.

Right after the convention (whether we attend or not) school starts again. I hope I care about my classes this time... I procrastinated really bad last semester cause I didn't really fight into the dynamics of the class. It was "Women in American History". It basically outlined and detailed what women had actually done for the USA that is commonly left out of textbooks. Granted, it was a good class - very informative, but there's a slight snag...... women annoy the crap out of me!!! It doesn't help that I am one cause I annoy the crap out of myself a lot - especially my fangirl moments. *rolls eyes* I just can't stop myself. Rrrrrrrr! >< Two out of the three classes I am taking next are still history, but it focuses on men.... thank you.

I need to scan that pile of stuff for Ami's Effigy site. I love being the scanning bitch! ^__^ Seriously! I can just imagine how happy people are when they look at the scan and click 'Save'... *squeals for joy* I think I must knock some of them out today along with making the mock outfit of Makoto's Super Live outfit.

*stares at "The Peace" music video* Honestly, why would you film a music video in a men's bathroom on a submarine?? I'll tell you one thing - only Morning Musume can do it and get away with it! Damn them.

I've begun to read Ai no Kusabi fanfictions again. How very naughty of me! >D

I'm going to finish saving sanami276's wonderful scans, then I'm going to sleep some. I'm getting pretty good at running on about 4-5 hours of sleep.

PS - Iceman is the shit!!!!!!! Ohhh, they so rock my face off! *fans self* Mwahahaha!

I have a question is the patch on minako's seeve just a basic heart or is it something different? I am sewing the hat right now and I need to hand so the trim on the sleeves but I am not sure how to do the collar. and I may have to seam rip the back to get it to stop bunching. On Sakura is the pattern Ami gave me for both peices or just the top, I still need to cut it out but I need to be sure of things first. So yah those are my questions, if you can give me any answers that would be wonderful.

- The patch on Minako's sleeve: The center of it is made out of a basic heart (using the sparkly fabric). Underneath the heart is a square of the orange PVC fashioned as a pocket. The square of orange PVC is trimmed with sparkly fabric on three sides (left, right, and bottom).

- The collar: After you have put the sleeves on, the collar is just white PVC trim. Sew the white PVC and collar of the dress together (right sides together). Then you fold it over and hand-sew the collar to the inside of the dress. You will do this all the way around the collar. Odds are you will need to put a snap in the back to close the gap in the collar caused by the zipper. It is your job to make sure it lays as flat as possible. I can't really help you with that part cause you are not in front of me.

- Sakura patterns: I believe one pattern was for the top and another was for the bottom, but I couldn't tell you for sure. I don't remember what they looked like. Just to be sure you should ask Ami; she helped you pick them out. Do you have a picture of the Sakura costume?? *hoping so*

Wheeee, I'm glad you like my scans. Hopefully I'll get my copy of the Ray of Light photobook next week, if yesasia ships it on Friday *crosses fingers*.
