More treats, less tricks
Oct. 26th, 2005 12:42 pmGerman class today has brought a small amount of relief. On Halloween this is what my day would have consisted of: a German test, completing and handing in German workbook, finish/turn in intertextual paper from Hamlet, and a Journalism test. However, since the classes (mine and the class prior) are having difficulties grasping the "nicht" and "kein" concepts our test was pushed back to Wednesday. As well as, the completed workbook through kapitel zwei. This helps my stress level slightly. I say slightly because I still cannot procrastinate on this like I usually do. This weekend is reserved for pictures and I don't want to worry about homework while trying to have fun times with the Kansas Kids. That would suck!
Now I'm glad I asked for Thursday off from work. I believe I smell homework time tomorrow night! Speaking of work - the plastic totes are a really stupid idea. We usually transfer book in cardboard boxes, but now they are trying to use plastic boxes with flaps that close at the top. We'll see how that works out. Oiy.
Still don't know what I should wear to work on Halloween - any suggestions?
Ack - gotta go!

Date: 2005-10-30 08:31 pm (UTC);.; I love you. You are so sweet, truly. *ponders* I'm mostly trying to memorize vocabulary right now, but could you recommend some German bands or TV shows that I could download? I learn quicker by sound and sight; I believe listening to the culture would help me remember it better. Better watch out though, I'm most definately going to take you up on your offer to help next semester when I enroll in German level 2. XD

Date: 2005-10-30 08:51 pm (UTC)I was actually thinking about wearing my "Anime Junkie" t-shirt to my classes (cause I have to drive up there) and then change into something else for work. Or do you think an anime nerd is a scary enough costume for Halloween? XD

Date: 2005-11-02 02:58 pm (UTC)The weekend before Halloween, I found a decent costume. It was originally "Gothic Minister", but when paired with a skull walking stick, I made it into "evil wizard". I did try some spray-on hair dye, but it looked crappy. Thankfully, it stayed under the cloak until I took it off; the NERV shirt and black pleather pants were underneath the cloak, which I removed during the last few hours of work, where I wouldn't be in plain sight anyway.
